Tales from the Crypt

Well guys, It's been a while eh? Here's the deal in a nutshell. I felt mega-nauseated on a wednesday afternoon, sat on my couch and cried because I couldn't bring myself to cook the hamburger and onions for the spaghetti my kids were screaming for, called my friend Ashley to come over and cook it for me and then I realized, What in the heck am I going to do? So my dear husband sent me to my mom's house in the middle of Nevada for the last 5 weeks where I rotted in the living room recliner while my angel of a mother took care of my kids and me.

So now I'm 11 weeks pregnant and doing much better. I'm still kind of couch-bound, but at least I can eat and sleep now. If only I could poo. Too much info? Sorry. I just don't have a lot more going on other than that.

So anyway, I'm so glad to be home in my own house, see my husband every day and not feel so lonely and isolated. I wanted to thank everyone who helped me with my kids, sent me notes, called and lots of other thoughtful things that helped out so much.

I can't wait to get blogging again with actual life experiences and photos! It may be a few weeks til I have it in me, but I just wanted to say hi to my friends and post at least something! See you soon.

Oh my gosh, Angie. I have missed you! Your sense of humor is so uplifting to me that I always read your blog. Having you away for 5 weeks was really sad :)
Let me know if I can come over and help with anything. You're in the same stake so you can't live that far away.
You know... when Julie was in one spot during labor, we played cards and I remember her saying that it helped her feel better. So if you get stuck on the couch Julie and I can bring the deck on over to cheer you up!

As Audrey said, we've all missed you! I'm sorry to hear that you're feeling so crappy. I'm glad that your mom was able to take care of you and your kids, but I'm sure it was very hard on you to be away from Nic for that long. Wish I was there and could do more to help out. Hopefully you start feeling much, much better ASAP. Sending some love your way, lady!

I was getting worried something happened to you! Well, at least the summer in Round Town is a lot more mild than it is here. You got to escape! I'm sorry you were so sick. Being in the early-preggo-nauseated state in the middle of the Vegas heat makes the nausea worse, I say. Anyhoo, glad you're back, and feeling a little better.

Angie!! I am so happy to have entered the blogging world because now I have a way to keep in touch with beautiful people like you! I had heard that you were pregnant and feeling pretty badly...I truly hope it improves. I still only have one munchkin, so if there is anything you ever need I am more than willing to help. Which reminds you, that not pooping thing is the pits. But I know of something that helps a ton - it's a probiotic and I forgot the name of it, but it is the best thing I have ever come across for help in that department (I have tried many, many things). I'll get name of it if you're interested. Anyway, take good care of yourself!! :)

Angie, the name of the probiotic that saved me from 6 months of constipation misery (it must have been hormone related because it happened right after I had Weston) is called Florastor and it is made by a company called Biocodex. It comes in a bottle with 50 pills - you only need two a day so it should last about a month. It is kind of pricey but for me was worth every penny! Oh my gosh, I just looked online and you can get it for $34 now! I paid $62. Here's the URL for the website I found it on for that price: http://organicpharmacy.org/manufacturer/Florastor?gclid=CKH76u2WqpUCFQNaFQodCDIZYw. Feel free to call me if you have any questions: 445-0143. Anyway, good luck!! I hope your nausea is beginning to subside too.

Wish you were here at the Ranch. We went into the trailor you stayed in over the 4th and Zac said, "man, I wish everyone was here."

I'm glad you're feeling better too. And am looking forward to more posts as well.

As for the poo thing, just have hubby come in the bathroom with you and hold your hand, while you try your darndest to go. Remember how well that worked with me? LOL!!

I'm so sorry! I've been on medication for the last month that has made me nauseous so I can sympathize a little bit. On the up side, since most food doesn't temp my appetite I've lost weight :). Hopefully pregnancy will start treating you better!

congrts nic and angie! I'm so excited for you guys, #3 is awesome and much easier transition than to #2. I'm sorry you are so sick, I get like that when I prego and the only thing that makes me feel better is a prescription of Zofran. Call me crazy, but its the best nausea medicine and its safe to take. I probably sound like a pill popping Betty but I promise I'm not! Hang in there and keep us posted!
