Sometimes Happiness is Cheap!

I'm no good at formatting my blogs, this picture belongs at the very end of the post...I don't know how to move it, so just ignore it til you get to the end of the post! Lame. Sorry.

Super cute Gap embroidered jeans and Gymboree sweater! Weeeee....

The other night I had Sunday dinner over at my place. I was worried about it being too crowded with everyone over. But you know, we found the opposite to be true, we sat around my couch like we were sitting around a camp fire and I can't remember the last time we all talked as a family like that. Sometimes love grows in small spaces:) Plus, we had big pans of gooey chicken Parmesan, pene with broccoli, garlic and Parmesan, home made bread sticks and banana splits. What a perfectly cozy, delicious evening.

Okay, now for my thrift store bonanza! I went to two of my favorite second hand clothing stores today to get some winter clothes for the kids...yes it is still 100 degrees outside, but you who know me know I just can't wait for the next thing! So here is my bounty. Let me describe specifically my satisfaction.
I found good quality brands such as H&M, Gap, Gymboree, Yes, Arizona, Sprockets, Nike, all in great condition, some never even used. I got:
Six pairs of jeans
1 dress
1 sweater
3 pairs of pj's
7 long sleeved shirts
1 pair of cords
2 cool big toy cars
1 adorable winter coat
1 skirt
--------------------------------Cost: 100.00

Cute shirts for Evan

Awesome Old Navy heavy duty lined coat for Evan...for five bucks! Yippee!

I'm glad to see that you re-found my blog. You're such a funny lady! Thrift stores are friggin' awesome! I'm always finding sweet deals at the Goodwill near our house. By the by, in your picture of Nic's family which of the guys on the couch is Sean? Only asking, becuase:
a) He was the very 1st person I ever met at the Las Vegas institute and was always very nice to me.
b) My friend Liz had a mad crush on him back in the day.

Angie! YOU are amazing!
Here's my input on my savings:
Well don't forget Wal Mart!
I just got some really cool capri jeans for $3 each, tops for $3 and $5, and my biggest find was cute shoes for $5... all new. Be sure and check out the 215 and Rainbow Wal Mart, as well as the Eastern and 215 one, they have an aisle somewhere in the back, cool savings. I used to find cool stuff on mark down racks at Target when my grandson, Cristian, now 8 yrs was small... also Kid to Kid is cool on Sahara. You'll love that one, and your own trade ins will earn you spending credit.
Happy Shopping !!!!
Isn't it fun!

Ha! I lOVE cheap clothes! Especially since you have to buy new ones for the kids for every season of the year! Good job, Angie!

(On a side note, I saw your 'confessions' section and laughed OUT LOUD! Angie, I will admit this, you are NOT the only one with recurring chin hairs! Bless the man who invented tweezers!!!!)

Mellissa, Sean is holding the baby on his lap. His wife Apryl is in red. It's so funny that you said that about Liz, I told Nic about that and he was like, wait, she declared love for me too! Those Larkin boys...healthiest egos I ever did see. I have a link to Sean and Apryl's blog it is 5larkins. Sean was one of the friendliest people I met at the 'tute too. Just one of those guys.
